Brandy Dishes On Recent Lifestyle Change: 'What You See Is The New Me!'

The singer seems to be living up to her "Bran Nu" moniker with a lifestyle change that has her glowing and looking better than ever!

The Broadway baby, who's currently starring as "Roxie Hart" in the musical Chicago, is all about that healthy life now. Thanks to eating clean and kicking some imaginary butt at boxing classes, the vocal bible is living her best possible life at the tender age of 36.

Brandy opened up to People magazine recently about what life was like for her before she had that "ah ha!" moment. The triple treat admits she wasn't living right and wasn't taking care of herself until one morning when something clicked. On that day, Brandy made the pivotal decision to change her life around by making better food choices and getting in her workouts no matter what!

Before, “I didn’t exercise or take care of myself and my body the way I needed to, I just woke up one day and decided to live my best life, so what you see is the new me!”

Brandy complements a clean diet with regular workouts. “Some days are tough, but with the right focus and dedication I refuse to hit my snooze button,” she says. She combines boxing or sparring with her trainer with cardio and weight training for up to an hour and a half a day. “I know good things are happening because of this healthy release of energy with my mind, body, and soul!”

As for what she eats, Brandy is all about proteins and healthy, high-fiber carbs. Check a sample below.

Breakfast

Egg white omelet with spinach, tomatoes, and onion

32 oz. water with lemon, cucumbers, apples and blackberries

Lunch

4 oz. Mahi Mahi

Small spinach salad with Roma tomatoes, cucumbers, and olives

16 oz. water with lemon

Dinner

Grilled salmon

1 cup of steamed vegetables with her favorite kale salad from Houston’s restaurant (finely shredded baby kale, herbs, and dry-roasted, unsalted cashews, topped with shavings of Parmesan cheese and peanut vinaigrette)

Snack

Kind Bar (Cranberry and Almond + Antioxidants)

And because she's eating clean, then you know she's training dirty!
