Last weekend, Gabrielle Union-Wade celebrated her 47th birthday with a group of her celebrity besties at her California Love-themed costume party and her guests held nothing back. While her husband, Dwyane channeled his inner-Black Panther, Tracee Ellis Ross straightened out her curls to give us the DJ Quick impression we didn't know we needed.
Along with Gabby's tribe, there were a few other celebrities who got into the spooky spirit this season and we have the details. From Nicki Minaj's Harley Quinn costume to Jhene Aiko's adorable spin on cosplay, these celebrity costumes were imaginative AF and we are here for all of it.
Scroll below to check out of some of our favorite celebrity Halloween costumes this year:
Gabrielle Union-Wade & Kaavia James
Gabrielle Union-Wade and her daughter just gave us the Bring It On reboot we've been waiting on and it was just as adorable as we imagined. As the guest of honor at her spooky soiree, Gabrielle gave us a boost of nostalgia and reminded us that no one ages quite like a Black woman, 'cause sis doesn't age at all.
Ciara & Russell Wilson
Our favorite rich auntie and uncle dressed up as Wakandan Warriors last year, but in 2019, these two impersonated the leaders of another empire. Going "Apesh*t" in the best way possible, The Wilsons transformed into the Carters for this year's costume and they nailed it.
Karrueche as Nancy Callahan in Sin City proves that our Hot Girl Summer has beautifully transitioned into the #F*ckBoyFreeFall of our dreams.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Tracee Ellis Ross rocked a mustache and a faux perm for Halloween this year, celebrating her 47th birthday week in true '90s hip-hop style.
I'ma let y'all finish but Normani channeling Naomi Campbell in this iconic, classic look proves that she won. Everyone else can go home.
Speaking of Fountains of Youth, Misdemeanor, can you slide us a glass of whatever it is you're sipping on? Because her Halloween costume for this year had all the juice. Recreating her very first album cover from almost two decades ago, Missy was serving up all of the SUPA DUPA FLY energy.
The Cast of 'Black-ish'
Earlier this year, Jordan Peele's Us broke box office records and had us all questioning our inner-selves, and now, the cast of ABC's Black-ish got spooky AF for their Halloween episode.
Jhene Aiko was our cosplay bae this Halloween and dressed up as Ash from Pokemon, complete with a Pikachu on her shoulder and a bowl-cut wig to match.
If you needed any proof that Cleopatra was Black, just check out Jordyn Wood's Halloween costume this year and I'm sure you'll see the resemblance. With an archaic spin on a modern cat eye and a high-leg split that would bring Mark Antony to his knees, Jordyn was channeling big African queen vibes.
Nicki Minaj and her new husband, Kenneth Petty, make being bad look so good in these matching Harley Quinn/Joker costumes that are to die for. Well, maybe not literally.
Cardi played doctor this year in a red hot ensemble that fit her like a glove. Knee-high boots, cute accessories, and waist-long bundles made this traditional costume a new-aged favorite.
Sienna & Baby Future
Ciara and Russ decided to debut their Halloween costumes at the last minute this year and it was probably because they were too busy dressing up Sienna and Baby Future as the cutest little Jackson 5 members 2019 has ever seen.
Celeb babies came through with the costumes this year, and Baby Stormi was no exception. Dressed in her mommy's 2019 Met Gala signature look, this Halloween fit was too cute for captions.
